They may not jive w/your addled memory, but they are correct and you are wrong.

There are some typos (e.g. Latimer , not Lotimer,) and Damien McGhieu, er Magoo, er gesundheit is kinda tricky. BTW, John Welton is credited in the article as a Forgotten Rebel, although he would play w/Frank Venom two years after the article was written ina group called The Blue Angels.

Please learn how to read, as you may need a job in the future.Spin Turlockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16721840487895347999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3785034423063815710.post-39307104491007826062011-06-29T16:54:40.864-04:002011-06-29T16:54:40.864-04:00This is not a very accurate article. To bad this telling of history is so wrong.

Oh yea, John Welton in Teenage Head? Nope.
Although Steve Mahon from Teenage Head played gigs with the Forgotten Rebels ( circa 2000) and Dave Mcghire from the Forgotten Rebels played gigs with Teenage Head on drums (circa 1984).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3785034423063815710.post-4806493428640409142010-05-22T13:54:39.936-04:002010-05-22T13:54:39.936-04:00Thanks for the great article. I was just finishing high school at around this time and remember well sneaking into shows at the chuggies (the corktown), the Gown and Gavel (and Moondogs on the 3rd floor), and Teasers (a short-lived but excellent bar/live venue around King and Walnut area).

I had the opportunity to jam with John Welton last night, and it was a lot of fun. I actually came across this article when I 'googled' John after realizing that he had been in the Rebels and Teenage Head.

Thanks for posting this old article Bruce. I always thoroughly enjoy your writing -- since the long-ago days of Nerve Magazine.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11702985612109211395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3785034423063815710.post-60928484364283014972010-03-09T13:11:12.104-05:002010-03-09T13:11:12.104-05:00Notes:

I only WISH I had that footage...Alas, nothing came of that. "Tape...what Tape??!!"

5) Toronto is the branch plant/ major label centre of Canada.
